Tree of Birds

In these works, you see different birds appearing in the same tree. The tree fragments partially merge, symbolizing the connection between various bird species. The tree is also used as a metaphor in phylogeny, the study of evolution and the emergence of new species. If you look closely, you can see the phylogenetic tree of all bird families in the background.

The birds are painted with gouache on a cyanotype background.
